Service Wk-Great Lakes & Rotary Park Clean-up
No regular meeting

Rotarians can all enjoy the beautiful outdoors together this week. Driving back from our District conference in Montreal today, we noticed the white trilliums and Eastern Flowering Dogwood.  All the shades of green in the leaf cover are also amazing. What a beautiful spring!
We will meet Thursday between 12:00 to 1:30 PM at Rotary Park, 1282 Coverdale Drive.  Bring your own lunch and drink, extra water, and a hat.
The current forecast for Thursday, May 11 is a sunny 21C.
There are 4 opportunities to participate (something for everyone!).  Wear, if you have a Rotarian shirt or a Rotarian at work T-Shirt.  It is time to take fun club pictures!
Activities:
1. We are going to clean up garbage in Rotary Park and the shoreline as part of the  Great Lakes Watershed cleanup initiative. Please bring a garbage bag (and if you have rubber boots to wade in the shallows).
2. We need to weed the Monarch butterfly garden and get rid of the dog-strangling vine.  I plan to get woodchips to add to the zone at the back. Please bring a garbage bag, sharp loppers or pruners if you have and a garden fork and rake.
3. Clean the weeds around the totem pole and prepare the soil to plant some native flowers (later). Please bring a garbage bag, a garden fork, and a spade.
4. Fellowship and commentary: Rotarians who cannot participate in strenuous activities can bring a lawn chair or just walk along. (Adrienne, Maggie would love to come!)

There is not a  meeting at Kingsbridge.
See you at Rotary Park, Thursday.
