Easter Seals Ontario, the Rotary Club of Kingston, and the Kingston Yacht Club have just announced registration is now open for the 2023 Easter Seals Summerfest Regatta!
Scheduled for Sunday July 9th, many types of vessels are invited to enter. There are courses for sail and human-powered craft to enter.
The regatta registration fees are $50 to $100 depending on the size of the boat and crew. Crews are encouraged to find sponsors for their boat. Easter Seals will recognize crews that go the extra nautical mile by raising more money to support Easter Seals kids.
Online registration for entering your boat is easy, at easterseals.org/easter-seals-kingston-regatta, or simply show up on the day with your family.
In addition to the regatta, there will be plenty to do at the Easter Seals Summerfest. Local artisans, live music, and face painting are just some of the family activities which will be present.
A sail-past will wind up the water events after which a BBQ, and beverages will be found ashore at the historic KYC.
Linda Clouthier, ES’s local Community Development Officier, says, “The 2022 Easter Seals regatta raised over $13,000 for local area Easter Seals Kids, and we look forward to even greater numbers and participants this year.”
Linda wants all Rotarians to spread the word among their families, friends and the community, to enjoy a summer day on the beautiful Kingston waterfront with the whole family while supporting an incredible cause!
Easter Seals provides funding for families of children with disabilities, enabling them to purchase equipment for mobility and daily living. And 2023 marks their 101st anniversary supporting Ontario youth. Easter Seals has been a champion to those who could not otherwise afford this life-changing equipment. Rotarians help make it possible.
